Q + A

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP as soon as possible, but no later than September 1st.

What time should I arrive?

We kindly ask guests to arrive at least 15–30 minutes before the ceremony begins to ensure a prompt start.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Our dress code is formal, all-black attire. For the ladies, think of an elevated take on cocktail attire—chic dresses or jumpsuits that are dressy, sophisticated, and celebratory. We’d love to see you embrace style and elegance while keeping comfort in mind. For the gentlemen, a black suit with a dress shirt and tie is perfect. A tuxedo is absolutely welcome but not required. We simply ask that everyone joins us in all-black attire to help create a stunning and unified look for the evening.

Can I bring a plus-one or children?

Due to the intimate nature of our wedding, we kindly ask that young children not attend, as we are keeping the celebration primarily adult-only. Invitations are extended only to the guests listed, and if a plus-one is included, it will be noted on your invitation. We are so excited to celebrate with our closest family and friends! To ensure a meaningful and enjoyable experience for everyone, we must keep our guest list limited. We truly appreciate your understanding and support as we plan this special day.

Will the ceremony and reception be in the same location?

Yes, both the ceremony and reception will take place at Water’s Edge venue inside of the Riverview Center, located at 103 Watson Road, Chesapeake, VA 23320. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held on an outdoor deck, offering a beautiful waterfront backdrop. Guests will then enjoy a cocktail hour before transitioning into the reception.

Is there on-site parking available?

Yes and for your convenience, complimentary valet parking will be available. We encourage all guests to take advantage of this service and enjoy an stress-free arrival and departure!

What is an “unplugged ceremony”?

An unplugged ceremony means we kindly ask all guests to turn off and put away phones, cameras, and any other devices during the ceremony. We want everyone to be fully present in the moment with us—no distractions, just love and memories in real time.

Can I take pictures at the reception?

Absolutely! Once the ceremony is over, feel free to snap away and capture all the fun at the reception. We just ask that any photos you take during the rest of the evening be respectful and thoughtful—especially when it comes to sharing them.

Why are you asking guests not to take photos during the ceremony?

We’ve hired an amazing photographer to capture all the important moments beautifully and professionally. We’d love for you to relax, soak in the moment, and allow our photographer to do what they do best—without phones or tablets in the way.

Will there be alcoholic beverages available?

Yes! We will be offering a selection of beer, wine, and signature cocktails for our guests to enjoy throughout the evening. We look forward to raising a glass with you in celebration!

Where is the couple registered?

We are so grateful for your love and support as we begin this new chapter of our lives. While we have a small registry attached to this website, we’ve also included a link at the bottom for our Honeymoon Fund. If you’d like to contribute to our getaway, we would be deeply appreciative. Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all!

Who should I contact if I have additional questions?

Feel free to reach out to Morgan or Shawn - we will be happy to help in any way we can!
